Pecan Pie Cake 

Ingredients

  • 18-1/2 oz. pkg. yellow cake mix, divided
  • 1/2 c. margarine, melted
  • 4 eggs, divided
  • 1-1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1 t. vanilla extract
  • 1/8 t. salt
  • 1-1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions

  • Set aside 2/3 cup of cake mix for topping.
  • Combine remaining cake mix with melted margarine and one eff; mix well.
  • Press into a greased and floured 13"X9" baking pan; bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Mix reserved cake mix, remaining eggs; corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla and salt.
  • Pour over baked cake; sprinkle with pecans.
  • Bake for an additional 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Let cool. Serves 8 to 10.
